INT3NSE trellising system eligible under Extreme Weather Preparedness BMP Program

Apply Now: Extreme Weather Preparedness BMP Program for BC Vineyards

British Columbia vineyards are still recovering from the damage caused by recent cold snaps. To support growers, the provincial government has launched the Extreme Weather Preparedness BMP Program — a funding opportunity that covers vineyard protection systems against extreme cold events.

What is the Extreme Weather Preparedness BMP Program?

The Extreme Weather Preparedness Beneficial Management Practices (BMP) Program is designed to help farmers adapt to extreme climate conditions.
Under the Extreme Heat and Cold Preparedness stream, vineyards can apply for up to $50,000 per farm, per year to invest in winter protection measures.

Funding is available specifically for:

  • Protective covers

  • Associated infrastructure

Why the INT3NSE™ System is Eligible

The INT3NSE™ trellising system from Vitis-import is recognized under both categories funded by the program:

  • Associated infrastructure (steel posts, wires, arches)

  • Protective covers (geotextile winter fabric)

This innovative solution provides hermetic, durable protection for grapevines during winter, helping vineyards reduce cold damage while accessing government funding.
